Dance Troupe from across Crawley and East Grinstead place 1st at The Super Weekender in Manchester.

Urban City Dance Troupe The Division took to the road this March and traveled 250 miles up north to attend The Super Weekender at Event City in Manchester.

The boys and girls were there for three days as they indulged in a full weekend of Master classes, performances and competitions.

Witnessing some of the best dance crews in the country and getting to take class with some their idols was nothing short of fulfilling a hunger for the young up and coming dancers.

On the Saturday of the Super Weekender the Urban City boys and girls got to take to the Chance to Dance stage where they performed along side colleges and companies such as Shock Out Arts, Jinks Company and Jennifer Ellison,s Jelly Studio.

After two days of classes and witnessing dancers compete from all over the country it was Urban City's turn to take to the competition stage. Their name was called and they realised their time has come. The dancers quickly took to the stage with excitement, nerves, and a want to win.

The DVSN place 1st

The troupe from across Crawley and East Grinstead were ecstatic to walk away placing 1st in their category.

After witnessing some incredible dancers from across the weekend the boys and girls did not know what to expect, there were nerves in the air but the blood sweat and tears the dancers had put in over the previous last few weeks had paid off.

They will now compete at the British Championships in Blackpool this June.
